American Association for Laboratory Accreditation
Radici Plastics USA, Inc.'s Quality Control Laboratory is the first operated by an
independent compounder of engineering thermoplastics to achieve Accreditation from the
American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).
A2LA is a non-profit, non-governmental, public service, membership
organization operating a broad spectrum laboratory accreditation system.
A2LA Accreditation is formal recognition of competence that a
laboratory can perform specific tests or types of tests with continuing accuracy and
repeatability. It follows not only an exhaustive on-site assessment of Laboratory
equipment and staff competence, and adherence to formal systems and procedures
requirements, but also frequent monitoring of test data to demonstrate continuing
accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility.
The Accreditation received by our Q.C. Laboratory is in the field of
Mechanical Testing, A2LA Certification 0181.01. (View the Scope of Accreditation in Adobe Acrobat format.)
With this Accreditation, which must be renewed annually, our
customers can be confident that each lot shipped meets or exceeds their specifications for
processing and performance.
Underwriters' Laboratories Recognition
For many applications in the electrical, electronics,
telecommunications and appliances industries it is an advantage to use materials that are
Recognized by Underwriters' Laboratories. For this reason, and for further assurance of
product quality and consistency, Radici Plastics USA, Inc. offers a number of products with U.L. Recognition,
including Ground Insulation Systems Approval.
These grades are identified by an "R" prefix to the
nomenclature, for example RN6650L.
We have continuing programs to achieve Recognition for additional
grades, and can initiate further programs tailored to the requirements of your
application.
A Powerful Laboratory Information Management System
Radici Plastics USA, Inc.'s Quality Control Laboratory is integrated with a powerful
Laboratory Information Management System - LIMS. Within this system, specifications for
every standard and custom compound become benchmarks for the control of the quality of
each production lot.
The LIMS routinely accumulates performance histories by product, as
well as by customer, to facilitate charting of key characteristics and continuous
monitoring of product quality. It can also generate Lot Data or Lot Certification reports
automatically in any required format.
Interacting with our Manufacturing Management computer systems, the
LIMS substantially enhances the value of our SPC and SQC programs, ensuring product
quality and consistency.
