Thermoplastic Polyester - PET
Polyethylene terephthalate, PET, has been available for many years, and
used for diverse applications from fibers to beverage bottles. Modified to accelerate
crystallization and reinforced, PET has gained broad acceptance for a wide range of
injection molding applications. These reinforced and modified formulations provide many
properties similar to those of PBT compounds, combined with a higher melting point,
exceptional surface gloss, and an ability to accept higher levels of reinforcement for
applications where high strength and rigidity are required.
| Reinforced with Glass Fiber |
PET200G30L Compounds reinforced with 30% and 45%
glass fiber, exhibiting exceptional strength (Add to Cart)
PET200G45L and rigidity,
particularly at elevated temperatures. (Add to Cart) |
| Reinforced with Mineral/Glass Fiber |
| Reinforced with 35% mineral and glass fiber, this compound
exhibits PET200MG35L excellent strength and rigidity combined with good control
of warp and sink in large area or complex shape parts. (Add to Cart) |
Developmental Thermoplastic Polyesters - Several thermoplastic polyester compounds, blends and alloys are in either advanced stages of development or initial production. Should your application require a special formulation, we will often be able to match the performance profile needed.
