Thermoplastic Polyester - PET

Polyethylene terephthalate, PET, has been available for many years, and used for diverse applications from fibers to beverage bottles. Modified to accelerate crystallization and reinforced, PET has gained broad acceptance for a wide range of injection molding applications. These reinforced and modified formulations provide many properties similar to those of PBT compounds, combined with a higher melting point, exceptional surface gloss, and an ability to accept higher levels of reinforcement for applications where high strength and rigidity are required.
