Stabilized Grades
| Heat Stabilized - HS |
| All grades of nylon 6.6, nylon 6 and nylon 6.12 are
available with a heat stabilizer, which substantially improves the capability of finished
parts to withstand the effects of prolonged exposure to high temperatures in air. ! For unreinforced grades, addition of the HS
package may slightly reduce tensile elongation.
! In all grades, the color of the HS
formulation may show a slightly green tint.
! You can order a product in heat
stabilized form, by inserting HS before the lubricant designation.
For Example:
Unstabilized Compound Heat Stabilized Formulation
N66G13TL N66G13THSL |
| Heat Stabilized - H |
| All grades of nylon 6.6, nylon 6 and nylon 6.12 are
available with an organic stabilizer system which improves the capability of finished
parts to withstand the effects of prolonged high temperature exposure in air, while fully
maintaining electrical insulation characteristics and natural color. ! You can order compounds with this organic stabilizer system by inserting an H
before the lubricant designation.
For Example:
Unstabilized Compound Heat Stabilized Formulation
N612G43L N612G43HL |
| Hydrolysis Resistant - HR |
| All unmodified nylon 6.6, 6 and 6.12 glass fiber
reinforced compounds are available in a hydrolysis resistant formulation designated HR.
These are recommended for applications where resistance to prolonged exposure to a
water/ethylene glycol mix, such as automotive coolant, is required. ! You can order hydrolysis resistant compounds, by inserting HR before the
lubricant designation.
For Example:
Unstabilized Compound Hydrolysis Resistant Formulation
N66G33L N66G33HRL |
| Weatherable - W |
| For resistance to the effects of outdoor weathering, the
addition of finely dispersed carbon black is often the most cost-effective solution.
However, if resistance to weathering or exposure to other sources of ultra-violet light is
required, and the use of black pigment is not acceptable, then specifically tailored
additive systems can be incorporated into the compound. In cases where exposure to
outdoor weathering is severe or prolonged, these additive systems can be used in
combination with specially selected carbon black for optimum performance.
! You can order such a compound, by
inserting W before the lubricant designation.
For Example:
Standard Product Weatherable Formulation
N6650L N6650WL
PC10L PC10WL |
